Join us for a week or rowing, relaxation and adventure in beautiful St Gilgen, Austria! This quaint town is located in the Salzkammergut region, not far from Salzburg, and is complete with charming restaurants, shops, and guesthouses. The surrounding landscape is quintessential Austria – alpine mountains and a stunning turquoise lake named Wolfgangsee.
Description
Our hotel is situated on the shores of Wolfgang Lake and features a private swimming area for guests. Moreover, it is an easy 10min walk to the boathouse. Your rooms will be suites with balconies overlooking the lake.
The local rowing club is wonderful, featuring both racing and recreational sculling boats. The club also has an Octuple, as sculling boat for 8 people and I’ll be thrilled to try it with you! Rowing sessions will take place every morning with exception of Arrival and Departure day. This makes for 5 rowing sessions of approximately 1.5 hours.
Coaching will be provided by Iva Boteva, iROW Tours Founder and Los Angeles based private rowing coach in addition to Grisha Manchev, a former Bulgarian National Team rower who has been a part of many iROW Tours, and finally Pete Spivey who is the coach at the club we are partnering with at St Gilgen.
With this much coaching talent you can rest assured all your rowing needs will be well taken care of! Some afternoons we will have a planned sightseeing activity, and others will be unscheduled, giving you a chance to relax or explore the place on your own.
Our sightseeing program includes a guided tour of Salzburg, which offers a rich mix of art and architecture, with its historic center being a part of UNESCO’s World Heritage. We will also take a cable car and go up high to The Zwölferhorn Mountain in St. Gilgen, offering breathtaking views of the area. There are plenty of walks up on the summit and various huts encourage you to pop in and they offer special local delicacies.

This once in a life time experience is priced at $6,995 ($6,295 for iROW clients/previous tour participants). The trip is priced to include everything while in St Gilgen, Austria. All you need is to purchase your plane ticket and travel insurance.

The max capacity is for 12 rowers, and your non rowing friends are welcome to join us. To sign up, please send a $1500 nonrefundable security deposit. This reserves your spot in the tour. The remaining amount is due on May 1, 2024.
Minimum of 6 people need to be signed up by March 1, 2024 in order for this trip to proceed as planned.
